Spaghetti bolognese or as we say it in greek “Pasta with mince sause”: an old time classic dish everybody loves!
Ingredient
- 3 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 carrot finely chopped
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 clove of garlic chopped
- 100gr (4-5 slices) of bacon
- 900g of beef mince
- 2 tbsp of tomato paste
- 200 ml of red wine
- 2 tomatoes grated
- 200ml of water
- 1 thyme clone
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper
Execution
- Add the oil and butter in a saucepan and sauté on high heat the carrot, onion, garlic and bacon for 4-5 minutes.
- Then add the mince and sauté, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon until it is ready.
- Add the tomato paste and stir well. Pour the wine and let it boil for 5 minutes, lower the heat and add the grated tomato, thyme and bay leaf. Add salt and pepper and add then the water. Allow to boil for a low heat for 40-45 minutes, until the sauce becomes ‘thick’.
- Serve with your favourite kind of pasta and enjoy!
