- 1 egg
- 9g dry yeast
- 500 g of lukewarm water
- For the filling:
- 250 g of tomato sauce
- 600 g grated gouda cheese
- 12 slices of bacon or 12 slices of smoked turkey
For the sauce:
- Olive oil
- 1 medium onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 5 ripe tomatoes grated
- Salt
- Pepper
- Sugar
Execution
- For dough: Start by putting lukewarm water, yeast, sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour in the blender bin. Wait 10 minutes for the yeast to activate, pour the egg, salt, remaining flour, Epirus 50-50 butter into the bin and stir until it becomes dough. Put a little flour on our counter and over the dough. We divide it into 12 pieces of 100g, pour some flour and cover with a towel for ½ hour. Then sprinkle our table with flour and open each dough ball in a round shape. Then spread a tablespoon of the tomato sauce that we made in the half of each sheet, and add smoked turkey or bacon. Sprinkle with the grated cheese. Wrap the sheet giving it a half-moon shape and fold the edges. Bake for 13 minutes at 200 degrees in preheated oven!
- For the tomato sauce: In a saucepan, add olive oil and sauté the garlic and onion unti brown, the add the tomato, salt, pepper and sugar and boil for about 10 minutes.
