Delicious, chocolate and very easy in making chocolate cake with Oreo cookies that will delight all of you!

Ingredient

For the sponge cake:

  • 300g flour (for all uses)
  • 370g sugar
  • 90g cocoa powder
  • 6g baking soda
  • 3g salt
  • 160g cold butter
  • 185ml water
  • 185ml milk
  • 1 tsp. of instant coffee (optional)
  • 1 vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 packet of oreo cookies

For the filling:

  • 250g butter at room temperature
  • 600g cream cheese
  • 1 vanilla
  • 250g confectioner’s sugar
  • 3 tbsp strawberry jam
  • 1 packet of oreo cookies

For the composition:

  • 1 packet of oreo cookies
  • Strawberries

Execution

For the sponge cake:

  1. In a mixing bowl, sift the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  2. Cut the butter into cubes, add it to the bowl of the mixer and beat until the mixture becomes like sand.
  3. Put the water in a saucepan to heat. Remove the pan from the heat, add the milk, stir and add to the mixer bowl. If you want extra flavour in the sponge cake, add the instant coffee to the saucepan.
  4. Beat the eggs, add them to the bowl of the mixer together with the vanilla and stir.
  5. Divide the mixture into 3 round hoops with a diameter of 20 cm or in disposable pans. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes.
  6. Just before the end of baking, put a knife in the centre of the sponge cake and if it comes out wet let it cook a little longer.
  7. Remove the hoops from the oven and let them cool for 20 minutes. Remove the hoops and place the sponge cakes on a grill to cool from the bottom.
  8. Alternatively, we can use 1 hoop with a diameter of 20 cm. In this case, bake the sponge cake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 45 minutes. When the sponge cake is cooked and cooled, cut it horizontally into 3 equal parts.

For the filling:

  1. Pour the butter, cream cheese and vanilla into the mixing bowl and beat with a whisk until the ingredients are homogenous.
  2. Add the confectioner’s sugar in 2 portions, the strawberry jam and continue beating. Remove the bowl from the mixer.
  3. Crush the Oreo cookies, add them to the mixer’s bowl and mix with a spatula.

For the composition:

  1. Put a sponge cake in a cake pan, spread 1/3 of the amount from the filling and repeat by building the cake.
  2. Garnish with strawberries and Oreo cookies.
