Chicken Tikka Masala is an easy and tasty recipe originating from India. Its main feature is the many spices we use. You can accompany it with rice or Naan bread, as I suggest today!
Ingredient
For the chicken:
- 600 gr chicken leg quarters
- 20g mashed ginger
- 2 cloves of mashed garlic
- 2 g of cayenne pepper
- 10 g paprika
- 10 g lemon juice
- 200 g of yogurt
- 5 g turmeric
- 5 g cumin
- 10 g of coriander
- 5 g garam masala
- 55 gr sunflower oil
For the bread:
- 165g flour (for all uses)
- 65 g of yogurt
- 1/4 teaspoon of soda
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 60 ml of hot water
- 30 g butter
- fresh coriander
Execution
For the chicken:
- Cut the chicken into small pieces in order to put them on skewers.
- In a bowl put all the rest of the ingredients, mix and add the chicken, leave it for at least 5 hours in the refrigerator or the whole night.
- Bake in a grill or at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.
For the bread:
- Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well, the dough should be smooth and fluffy, if necessary, add some flour.
- Put the dough in a bowl with some olive oil over it and cover with foil and leave it for at least 2 hours.
- Put some flour on the counter and lay the dough over it.
- Divide the dough into 4 balls and fold into small balls with fingers, leaving it to rest for 15 minutes.
- Open each ball with the rolling pin with the help of flour on the counter.
- Use a pan that is NOT non-stick. Put it on the fire, for example in a gas stove because we need the flame, put the pan to burn well and put the bread into it. When it starts to dry out turn the pan upside down to burn it with the flame on the other side too.
- Remove from the heat and spread the pans with butter, and finally add salt flakes.
