Oven baked chicken with potatoes is a classic family meal choice. Adding spices and herbs can make its flavor irresistible!
Ingredient
For the spice crust
- 2 tbsp of garlic powder
- 1 tbsp dry thyme
- 2 tbbsp paprika smoker
- 1 tbsp of pepper
- 2 tbsp of salt
- zest from a lemon
For the potatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp honey
- juice and zest from a lemon
- juice and zest from an orange
- 1 chicken cube (broth )
- 6 potatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 laurel leaves
- 2 tbsp spice mixture
For the chicken
- 1 chicken 1.400gr.
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- the rest of the spice mixture
Execution
- In a bowl, mix the garlic powder, thyme, paprika, pepper, lemon zest and salt.
- In another bowl, add the olive oil, mustard, honey, zest and juice of a lemon and an orange, the chicken cube and stir well until the cube is dissolved.
- Wash and clean the potatoes with a sponge until all the soil is removed from the peels. Then cut them into pieces and place them in a pan. Pour the liquid mixture and add 2 pinches of spice mixture, 2 cloves of garlic and 2 bay leaves. Mix well!
- Pour the chicken with 2 tbsp olive oil and pour the spice mixture so that it goes everywhere. Put the chicken on the potato pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180 for 1 hour. At this point, cover the baking tin with aluminum foil and bake for another 30 minutes at the same temperature.
