Petros Syrigos

Petros Syrigos was born in Athens on March 3, 1988.

At an early age, he realized his love for cooking, so after graduating from high school in 2005, he decided to make his love a profession, starting his studies at the Le Monde Higher School of Tourism Professions, in the field of cooking and pastry. His first professional contact with the catering industry was during his studies, in June 2006.

Petros’s evolutionary path did not take long to begin, as in just 2 years he took on the position of Sous Chef in a well-known restaurant in Athens. In the summer of 2011, Petros became Executive Chef in a seaside restaurant in Spetses, while somewhere there his entrepreneurial spirit led him to create his own Catering in the area of ​​the island in collaboration with 2 friends.

Returning to Athens again, he followed his vision by starting collaborations with restaurants and hotels throughout Greece, creating menus and setting up shops from the beginning of their operation.

In the meantime, he has worked in the most famous restaurants in Athens, but also in foreign countries such as England, France, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), satisfying the culinary requirements of various prominent personalities.

From May 2012 until now, Petros has made a significant shift in his career by taking the path of Private Chef in the kitchens of luxury yachts and homes, making sure to satisfy the palates of international personalities who trust his talent and culinary knowledge.

Television screens have hosted Petros Syrigos with great success, most recently appearing on the Alpha TV show “Eleni” with Eleni Menegaki.

but also on the ANT1 television station in the morning show “To Proino” with Faye Skorda and Giorgos Liagas.

Columns of well-known magazines and websites have hosted Petros Syrigos many times, such as Eleftheros Tipos, which publishes his recipes every month, as well as the well-known sites Fthis.gr and Debater.gr. The demands of the field and his restless spirit have made him not complacent, taking part in competitions and attending various seminars in Greece and abroad, such as seminars on French, Italian, Peruvian, Thai cuisine and a specialized seminar on healthy nutrition for patients.

Petros Syrigos was named “Ambassador of Greek Gastronomy” by GREEK TASTE BEYOND BORDERS for three consecutive years from 2020 to the present.

GREEK TASTE BEYOND BORDERS (under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Athens) is a private interest organization with the golden spiral emblem and headquartered in the United Kingdom and has managed to create the largest business network with authorized ambassadors in every part of the world with self-financing.

The value of the title for a Greek Chef, that of the official title “Ambassador of Greek Gastronomy®” is the highest credential of the highest prestige in the history of Greek gastronomy, with new horizons opening up in the international gastronomic firmament for certified Greek chefs.

Being a chef for the last ten years and having dealt with a multitude of world flavors, Petros states that his favorite cuisine is Mediterranean, while his imagination never ceases to create new ideas.
