Cupcakes are small individual pastries, mainly cakes, whose particularity is in the decoration. You can decorate them with chocolate, fruit or whatever you like! Today we make it in its most classic version with buttercream!
Ingredient
For the Cupcakes:
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 200g granulated sugar
- 1g baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 g salt
- 200g unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3 egg whites
- 15ml vanilla extract
- 120g yogurt
- 120ml milk
For the buttercream:
- 450g butter
- 5 ml vanilla extract
- 700g confectioners’ sugar
- 15 ml dairy cream, 35% fat
- 3g salt
- Food coloring and sugar pearls for decorating
Execution
For the Cupcakes:
- Preheat the oven at 180OC. Place the cupcake papers in the pan.
- In a large bowl, sift the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and the sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients until combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix them until they’re just combined.
- Distribute the mixture into the papers.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.
For the buttercream:
- Cream the room butter in a mixer
- Add the confectioners sugar in two batches.
- Add the salt, milk, dairy cream and vanilla. Continue to mix until is smooth.
- Separate the mixture into multiple bowls and add food coloring.
- Decorate your cupcakes with the buttercream.
